Ayrshire Home Transformation

This elevated Ayrshire home was transformed with large-format anthracite grey glazing, a new composite front door and matching side panel, plus refreshed garage cladding. Clyde Windows & Construction completed the work as one coordinated exterior project.

The homeowner’s brief

The property overlooks the Ayrshire countryside, and its wide panes are an important part of the design. The homeowner wanted to preserve those expansive views while improving the glazing performance and giving the exterior a more contemporary appearance.

Other companies had suggested dividing the large windows into nine smaller panes. That would have changed the character of the elevation and interrupted the outlook, so retaining the large-format glazing was central to the project.

Large-format anthracite grey glazing

Installing panes at this scale requires careful surveying, handling and coordination. Our team installed the large panes without compromising the layout the homeowner wanted, replacing the ageing frames while preserving the wide views across the surrounding countryside.

The entrance was upgraded with a new composite front door and coordinated glazed side panel. Garage cladding completes the frontage

The existing garage cladding had taken the brunt of the Ayrshire weather. Replacing it in the same anthracite grey finish tied the garage, glazing and entrance together, giving the frontage a consistent appearance rather than treating each element as a separate upgrade.
